Five suspected kidnappers were apprehended in Kwara State following a fierce gun battle involving soldiers, local vigilantes, and hunters.

The suspects, hailing from Yoruba and Fulani tribes, were tracked down to their hideout near Ero Dam in Oke-Ero local government area. After their arrest, enraged members of the community set fire to the suspects’ property, including luxury vehicles.

This operation was part of a broader effort by the Kwara State government, which deployed military personnel to dismantle kidnappers’ hideouts across parts of Ekiti, resulting in multiple arrests.

Both Naira and US dollar notes were recovered from the suspects, indicating possible involvement in significant criminal activities.
