Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has sanctioned the disbursement of N596.6 million in car and housing loans to 807 teaching and non-teaching staff in the state’s public secondary schools.

Permanent Secretary of the Ekiti State Teaching Service Commission, Michael Boluwade, explained that N381.5 million is allocated for car loans to 382 beneficiaries, while N215.1 million will provide fresh housing loans for 425 recipients.

This move, reflecting a 100 per cent increase approved by the governor, aims to boost staff welfare and morale, with repayments deducted directly from salaries.

The governorโ€™s administration has also implemented broader initiatives bolstering worker welfare, including recruitment, career progression, infrastructure upgrades, and minimum wage payments.
