EKSU Students Union Appeals for Solemn Sign-Out Amid Campus Mourning

The Students’ Union of Ekiti State University has expressed deep gratitude to University Management under Prof. Joseph Babalola Ayodele for approving a solemn and serene sign-out exercise for final-year students.

While the ban on FYB activities remains firmly in place, students are now allowed to wear white apparel and sign out peacefully on campus without any noise, processions, or celebrations.

This concession follows the recent tragic loss of fellow students, calling for unity and respect through quiet reflection.

Representatives of the Students’ Union and University security will oversee the ceremonies to ensure strict compliance and maintain a disturbance-free environment.

The Union urges all students to act responsibly and stand in solidarity to honour their fallen colleagues and uphold the dignity of the university community, reaffirming their commitment to the welfare and well-being of all Eksuites.
