The Chairman of Ajoni Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Amb. Prince Michael Ogungbemi, FCPA, and his wife, the Chairperson of Ajoni LCDA, were on Saturday honoured with prestigious community honorary chieftaincy titles during the grand celebration of Irele Ekiti Day.

Amb. Prince Ogungbemi was conferred with the title of Otunba of Irele land, while his wife Olori Christianah Olawumi Olayinka Ogungbemi, received the title of Yeye Otun Oba of Irele Land.

The colourful event attracted dignitaries, traditional rulers, government officials, and well-wishers from across the country.

The Kabiyesi of Irele Ekiti, His Royal Majesty, Oba Andero, praised the couple for their outstanding contributions to the Irele community and grassroots development.

He described the conferment as a recognition of their exemplary leadership, dedication to service, and unwavering support for the progress of the community.

In his acceptance speech, Otunba Michael Ogungbemi expressed profound gratitude to the monarch and the people of Irele Ekiti for the honour.

He reaffirmed his commitment to the development of the community and pledged continued support for initiatives that promote sustainable development across Ajoni LCDA and beyond.

This honour inspires us to do more. We will continue to serve with integrity and passion for the betterment of our people,” he said.
