Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has called on the people of Ekiti State to back Governor Biodun Oyebanji for a second term, stressing that sustained development depends on continuity.
Speaking at the funeral of High Chief Mathew Okunola at St Paul’s Anglican Church in Ikole-Ekiti, Aiyedatiwa described Oyebanji’s administration as stable and progressive, with achievements that require more time to consolidate.
He urged patience from the people, emphasising that substantial progress takes time and cannot happen overnight.
While expressing condolences to Justice Oyebisi Omoleye’s family, Aiyedatiwa praised the late Chief Okunola’s integrity and legacy.
Governor Oyebanji also paid tribute, lauding Okunola as a committed community leader whose contributions would be remembered.
