The Chairman of Ikere West Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Rufus Ige Olorunfemi, has distributed office materials, bags of cement, and cash donations to various security agencies in Ikere, Ekiti State.
The donated items include office furniture, electrical fans, and 20 bags of Dangote cement, while a total of ₦500,000 was disbursed to the Agro Marshal security group and ₦50,000 each to other security agencies, including the Nigeria Police Force, Amotekun Corps, and NSCDC.
Hon. Olorunfemi emphasized that the safety of the people remains a top priority and recognized the crucial role security agencies play in maintaining peace and stability. The gesture was well-received by community members and security representatives, who described it as timely and impactful. The event was attended by key stakeholders, including the Vice Chairman, Council Secretary, and Heads of Departments.
